Zees Holdings Launches Program to Help Charities Raise Money--NWA Women’s Shelter Receives Donation and Joins Program

Rogers, AR (PRWE May 17, 2010 -- Zees Holdings today announced the Mr. Zees Gives Back program
designed to help charitable organizations raise recurring donations. The program is very simple—here’s how it
works. Charities sign up for the program, at no cost, and receive a buying code specific to their organization. They
promote the program and code in any way they wish, to any audience. Members of this audience purchase at Zees
online store, entering this code at checkout, and the charity receives a percentage of the sale,on an ongoing basis.
In this way, the charity receives recurring donations based on purchases its supporters are making. Consumers
feel great about buying something they need, knowing a percentage is going to support the charity.
To kick off the project, Zees donated 15 mattresses to the Northwest Arkansas Women’s Shelter, a local charity
in Rogers, Arkansas. The shelter was the first charity to sign up for the Mr. Zees Gives Back program. As a
participant in the program, Zees will donate 10% of the sale of new mattresses purchased using the NWA
Women’s Shelter code to the shelter. To purchase go to www.RestZeesy.com and enter code NWAWS at
checkout.
Zees founder, Alan Haugh, started Zees with the idea to sell high quality, highly portable, memory foam
mattresses at a low cost. As a part of his company’s mission, Haugh sets aside a percentage of each quarter’s
profits to purchase mattresses for women’s shelters across the country. “I believe every company needs to have a
social conscience and give back to the community,” says Haugh. “Zees is delighted to launch this program in
support of charities and hopes every non-profit across the country takes advantage of what it has to offer.”
“Community support is so important to our shelter and we are honored to know that companies like ZEES are
thinking about the women and children we serve,” said Molly Rawn, NWAWS Development Director. “The
mattresses are a wonderful donation, especially at a time when we are seeing a sharp increase in the number of
clients we are serving. The funds raised through the Mr. Zees Gives Back program will help us continue in our
mission to serve victims of domestic violence and their families,” continued Rawn.
Zees extends this program to all non-profits across the country. “This is just the start,” said Haugh. “Our dream is
to have charities from every state participating.” When consumers purchase without a specific charity code, Zees
designates the charity and still gives a percentage to women’s and children’s shelters.

Mr. Zees Announces Program Designed to Help Charities Raise Funds

Zees is a company brought together by dreams. Seems appropriate for a mattress company, doesn’t it! Building a company from the box spring up, we got to do it our way. Now we’ve created a way to share our dreams with you. Zees has a mission to help women and children shelters across the country. We donate a percentage of all our sales to these charities. We also donate mattresses directly to those in need whenever we are able. The Mr. Zees Gives Back program extends this giving to all non-profits. Rather than Mr. Zees designating the charity as on our standard sales, participating organizations become the recipient of these funds for every sale they refer.<< MORE >>

On the road with Mr. Zees

I have been traveling the past few weeks as we try to get Zees off the ground. Our Ecommerce site www.shop.restzeesy.com went live March 21, 2010. We’ll have inventory to ship in a few weeks. My first trip was to the ISPA Meeting/Trade Show in Charlotte. The International Sleep Products Association was truly international. I met people from Italy, China, England, Germany, France and of course the good ole US of A. The equipment to make mattresses, weave fabric, and sew the covers onto the mattresses are mostly engineered and made in Europe. Much of the fabric is weaved overseas, shipped here and made into the covers you lie on each evening. It was a great learning experience for a newbie like me. I started a Twitter account http://twitter.com/MisterZees last year to share my thoughts and experiences in starting an online business. One topic I never discussed were the legal issues involved in starting a business. An interesting series of regulations stipulates I send mattresses to a consumer testing lab where they try to set them on fire with a torch and with cigarettes. Would you believe the law stipulates that the cigarette burn test must be conducted with Pall Mall and only Pall Mall cigarettes? Think a lobbyist was involved in that? Anyway, I spent considerable time learning about all the federal safety laws that pertain to my industry. We are up to date, have passed all the tests and are going to market with a safe product! << MORE >>

ISPA and Zees Support Haiti

Zees is a member of the International Sleep Products Association. ISPA has joined the relief efforts to help Haiti. While monetary donations are best at this point because of shipping and delivery challenges, ISPA is investigating other opportunities to assist as well. We anticipate a strong need for mattresses in orphanages, shelters, and hospitals as the cleanup transitions to rebuilding. We will stay apprised of opportunities to assist in these efforts. ... << MORE >>

No, we are not changing our signature blue colors. We have made the commitment to going green in the way we operate Zees. Zees will begin to use recycled content in packaging, business cards, sales brochures, use "real" indoor plants, scanning all documents instead of keeping paper copies, recycle 100% of paper use energy efficient light bulbs, these are just a few of the steps we will begin to incorporate. << MORE >>
